I consider New Orleans the birth place of Black music in America. From echoes of the drums past from our enslaved ancestors drumming in Congo Square to the sounds of horns, drums and instruments in the streets of New Orleans’ Mardi Gras last March.
It’s hard to believe there is still a law on the books banning jazz in public schools.
A law noticeably defied for decades! WELL DONE!!!
